When the jurors
become the suspects…
Jury duty is meant to be dull, isn’t it?
But when twelve strangers are brought together for a high-profile murder trial, it quickly becomes clear this is no ordinary civic duty.
Sequestered in a hotel for their safety, the jurors soon find themselves sharing breakfasts, awkward small talk, and the occasional crossword — until an unexpected death turns their temporary confinement into something far more sinister.
A jury hung on a knife’s edge
There are lots of ways to get out of jury duty,
but death isn’t usually considered a good one.
If you’re a fan of quirky, lovable characters with hidden agendas and uncomfortable secrets, then ‘Gangs, Grannies & Guilty Verdicts’ is for you. It’s a murder mystery with heart, humour, and just enough red herrings to keep you second-guessing all the way to the verdict.
Oh, and yes, one of them must die.
Smart, witty & frankly hilarious. I promise you won’t see the ending coming!
meet the author
Where to start? Connor Stuart studied Mathematics and Physics at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, before accidentally becoming an accountant and moving to Brisbane where he became a permanent resident in 2021. And now — he’s the author of a cosy crime novel.
It makes some sense that an accountant would dream wabout murder occasionally, but Connor never imagined he’d actually write about one. He’s always loved reading — from Shakespeare to Sanderson — and while genre was never the focus, he’s consistently found comfort in a warm murder mystery.
When he’s not writing (or suffering through another Arsenal match), Connor is a proud dad to the sweetest little girl.
